SHINKANSEN.... as fast as bullet..

One of the most amazing things that I discover in Japan is the shinkansen... 新幹線. Shinkansen is a high speed railway line in Japan. The network link most major cities on the islands of Honshu and Kusyu with running speeds of up to 300 km/h (186 mph), almost equal to that of a jet on the point of take-off. The trains can be up to sixteen cars long. Each car measuring 25 m in length, the longest trains are 400 m, that is 0.25 mile from front to back.

I was lucky because during our observation tour to Tokyo our trip was well planned by the course leader. We flew to Osaka and the next day, we got the chance to ride the high speed train from there Kyoto Station to Tokyo Station. We left Kyoto Station at 4.00 pm. They said that we can see the Fuji San as the shinkansen pass through it. But maybe i was asleep during the comfortable ride. he.. he..

Looking out from the window... ummm... couldnt believe my eyes... subarashii...totemo....the view.. panoramas.. no word can explain..we arrived Tokyo Station around 7 pm in Japan... Can you believe that?? Only 3 hours from Kyoto to Tokyo...

Amazing japan... how can I forget this country...Until now... Japan is still close to my heart...

My Contribution to the Nation

Ever sinced I was in the university, I've always dreamed of having my own products. My own book, my own website, my own column in newspaper.... umm.... my own multimedia products... he he..

So, when I started my first year of teaching, slowly I wrote a Physics book. It was just a coincidence. I met a friend and she asked me if I am interested to be a writer?

I have 4 books altogether that already sold in the market. The latest one in the textbook in English.... At least ... when I go to the bookstore... I can find my name... somewhere in between of the racks..

The Golden Question..

One day, while we went out to a shopping mall, Hannah suddenly pulled my hand into this shop. She was telling me.. mummy..mummy.. this christmast tree is nice.. But why you never buy this and put in our house? .....

I was so suprised... and I was hush for a while..

Slowly I explained to her.. Hannah.. this tree is not for us because we are Muslims. Muslim do not celebrate christmast. ..

Then who celebrate christmast? she asked.

For example like English people that you used to see on TV...

But I also can speak English mummy... Hannah replied..

oo oo... no I am kantoi... really kantoi...

But Hannah... Speaking english doesnt mean that you can have the tree.. We celebrate Eid remember.. we fast... tarawikh... I explained..

Hannah looked confuse but she stops asking..
So, everytime I remember that moment, I will say to myself... what will be the next questions from her... She is not a small kid anymore. Definately one day I have to start telling her about Allah, Muhammad, Muslim.... etc...

And I have to make sure ... that I will be able to answer all the questions.... Raising up children is amanah from Allah... so we have to make sure that we educate our children so they can be a good muslim... InsyaAllah..
