e-Learning Today and Tommorrow: Its Nature and Nurture

On last Saturday (22nd of July) I was attending a seminar given by Professor Curtis J. Bonk, from Indiana University. The Seminar was held at Open University Malaysia (OUM). This Seminar is the chance for me to meet with the Professor and to know more about the development of e-learning in US.

Well... at the same day... my brother.. Wan Faizal Anuar.. got married today to his fiance .. Liza in Sungai Besar, Selangor. Sorry brother cause I couldnt attend the ceremony but I promise... I will be there during the wedding day...

Authorware 7 and SCORM 2004 Training

On the 17th - 20th July 2006 I got the chance to attend a short training on Authoware 7 and SCORM 2004. For me, definately this is a good opportunity because all this while we've been using SCORM 1.2. In this training, we've been exposed to variable (data models) which currently being used in SCORM 2004. Also on how to convert a fresh courseware to a SCORM courseware. This can be done by inserting a few scripts in to the html files of the courseware. After that we did the content packege of the courseware by using reload editor software. Lastly, we uploaded the courseware into LMS.

umm..... the most important thing that I learned.... we must have the SCORM 2004 compliants LMS. And our coursewares also must have the data models embedded in it... otherwise.... nothing can be tracked by the LMS!!!

LANGKAWI WORKSHOP

On 4th to 7th July 2006, we had a trip to Langkawi. We had a discussion on LMS. Also together we developed few lesson plans that we are going to use in our Pengintegrasian project.

The bad thing that happend was.. I was the last one (beside KPP) who flew back to KL. My flight was delayed until 9.45 pm... and i reached KL around 11.30 pm. When I arrived home, it was around 1.00 am in the morning...

Anyway... I felt happy even though tired...
