Adelaide..1 year of memories

Yesterday a friend of mine was asking me... hey Shima I remember last year at this moment you are on your way to Adelaide.. err... well... yes.. thank you for reminding me.. cause you know... having busy schedule make me sometimes forget most of the important moment that I went through especially my nice experience in overseas.

I was one of the participants for this "School Emergency Preparedness" course from 4th - 8th September 2006 in University of South Australia (UniSA), Adelaide. This project is a collaboration project between Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) and UNICEF.

We stayed at the Saville Apartments located at the Liverpool St, 10 minutes walking distance from Randal Mall Street, one of the famouse location in Adelaide. Even though we had a very packed schedule everyday, I mean the class started at 8 am and finished at 5 pm, we enjoyed every moment that we had and we tried to spent time wisely.

I had the chance to visit Randle Mall, Glenelg, Gorgey Wild Life Park, Hindley Streets, Harbour Town... not forgetting a few schools.. I would like to share the experience... but maybe not in t his post..

Sometimes... being outside of our country make we realise how nice our country is. We started to appriciate what we have in our home country. Being a stranger is not a good experience for me. Anyway.. I enjoyed every moment in Adelaide.. well.. the temperature was soooo cold. I remember I could see the public temperature displayed in the street was 2 degree. grrr... totemo cold..

By having thought that we gain nice experiences in other country, I took this opportunity to say that I would really love to further my study in US. I really wanna know all the technologies that they have, the mind setting of the people, the cultures... everything that I can grab from them.. My precious experiences in Okinawa tought me many things.. being alone at a place that is not similar to your home country... u need to be nice to everybody.. also we have to be positive in order to make our life easier..

Well... thanks for reminding me again friend.. If not, I will forget this date and moment... that I should treasure for the rest of my life.
